Purpose of loan: The purpose of this loan is debt consolidation of two credit cards. The first is American Express with a balance of $14,000 and the second is Lowe's that carries a balance of $4,000. I recently remodeled my home and paid the bulk of the project in cash and put the rest on my cards. (American Express was also used for other expenses.) My financial situation: I always pay my bills on time and pay more than the minimum on my cards (at least 3 - 4 times the minimum) as well as paying down the principal on my mortgage. The reason I am seeking the loan is to obtain a lower interest rate than the current 16% average between the two. I have more than enough in savings to pay both cards off, but I would like to purchase a few investments and would prefer to keep as much cash as possible in my accounts. I have worked to keep a decent credit score. I have investments in property worth over 1M and I am also a Prosper Lender....which is working out far better than the funds I have in the stock market!
