Purpose of loan: Pay off Credit Cards This loan will be used to? pay off my high balance credit cards My financial situation:Buried in Debt I am a good candidate for this loan because? I pay my bills on time, as you can see looking at my credit rating. I would like to be able to pay off those cards that have the higher balances. I lost my job about 3 years ago and during that time I was laid off, I took a personal loan out so that I could stay a float (mortgage, truck note, etc..). Once I found employment, my salary was considerably lower than what I was making so it made it difficult to pay down/off my credit cards. Now I'm struggling to pay what I have incurred while I was laid off. If I could just have one monthly payment, it'll be so much easier for me to manage in between pay checks. If given a prosper loan, I would pay off 3 of my high balance credit cards. I don't mind paying a higher interest rate for this loan if I get funded. Currently, my total payments a month on these cards are approx $500. The interest rates that I'm paying are between 17% to 21%. With the Prosper loan, I will be able to save approx $800 a year on interest. The money that I will be able to save, will help replenish my saving's. Also, when possible I plan to pay more than the 'regualar' mnthly payment, so I could pay off the loan sooner than the 3 yr agreement. I'm relisting at a lower amount than I originally posted but at a much higher interest rate. The $5000 will help pay off/down my higher balances. The revolving credit includes my credit card debt as well as my truck note (which will be paid off in another year or so). I'm a single father of a 16yr boy. It's difficult at times to enjoy activities with him because of the "check-to-check" way of living I'm currently experiencing. His educational future is so very important that I need to become better prepared. I hope my high DTI doesn't deter you from considering me for a loan.
