Purpose of Loan This loan will provide the materials, education and employment opportunities to accommodate my hearing and asthmatic disabilities. Loan will be repaid via automatic withdrawal from my checking account. Should you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me. My financial situation I am a good candidate for this loan: After serving three tours in Viet Nam as a member of the U.S. Air Force followed by paralegal service in the U.S. Navy, I was medically discharged from the Navy because of my hearing loss, asthma, and allergies. These conditions have worsened, making it impossible to continue my career in the hospitality industry. Therefore, I am requesting a loan to purchase a new computer and obtain the proper training in the field of Web Design and Web Graphics. This loan will provide a means to purchase a computer, school supplies, books and software.Making the transition from the hospitality industry to computer training will definitely provide an avenue to improve my working and living environments.I cannot qualify for Pell Grants, nor Vocational Rehabilitation with the VA because I previously utilized those programs upon my discharge from the Navy.Payment will be automatically withdrawn from my checking account. The most important things in my life are honesty and integrity. I still practice the ?Old School? ethics of life in which a man?s word is his bond. If I am blessed with a positive response to my Prosper request, I will do whatever it takes to uphold my word to you. I will make my payments on time, and the loan will be paid off in full. Thank you for your consideration and thoughtfulness in reading and responding to this request. You will be helping a person who has faithfully served his country to adapt to new circumstances. The individual standing with me in the photograph is Admiral Gurney. He was the Commandant, Naval Training Center. I was his paralegal, under the Staff Judge Advocate. If you were in the Navy, you may remember the old Com Nine. It was disbanded and renamed CNTC, Great Lakes. Lastly, to each and every lender that posted a bid on my last request, please accept my very sincere thanks. Your support was indeed appreciated.
