Purpose of loan: I am getting married very shortly. My fiance and I have been paying as we go on the wedding expenses. As these things usually go, especially when you add in the opinions of the mothers, we have gone over budget. I have had to use the money I set aside for the honeymoon for wedding expenses. Thus, the loan request. This would be a second Prosper loan. As I have done on my first Prosper loan, repayment is not and will not be an issue. As to my credit score, I have disputed some inaccurate information on my Experian report. I did have a couple negative items from over 6 years ago that are legitimate. The main reason that my score is not higher is that a couple of factoring companies bought those old charged off debts years later and listed them on my reports as new items, as well as greatly inflating the amount showing as due. These alleged "debts" are not enforceable in the State of California, but short of suing them, I have hit a roadblock on getting them removed from my credit reports. However, all the negative information will fall off by July 2009. My financial situation: I am a civil servant employee of the State of California. Despite all of the news, I am still getting paid my salary. I have almost 10 years in various positions (appointed and civil service). I am now in management and also receive a VA disability allowance, so my income has gone up since my first Prosper loan. I have lived in the same place for almost 9 years, so I am in a very stable position. Monthly net income: $ 4500 Monthly expenses: $ 2700 Housing: $ 650 Insurance: $ 100 Car expenses: $ 400 Utilities: $ 120 Phone, cable, internet: $ 140 Food, entertainment: $ 500 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 600 First Prosper loan: $73 (Current - Never late) I have not been late on anything in the last 6 years.
