Purpose of loan:
This loan will be used to pay off some credit card debt.  My husband and I have been happily married for 5 years and are expecting our first child in December (I just felt him kick for the first time yesterday!). We're doing great now, we have a good income, but struggled in the beginning and now have a ball-and-chain of credit debt from a high-interest card.  It would really be nice to pay off most of it (as this loan would allow) with a better rate and a friendlier lender (!)

My financial situation:
I am a good candidate for this loan because my husband and I have a steady solid income, clean records, and work in public service (my husband works for the government and I was a teacher for many years before I started working as a writer/editor). You won't find more stable people than us...we bought our first home almost two years ago (we have a $340,000 mortgage) and have had no trouble keeping up with the payments. (PLEASE LOOK AT THE CREDIT INFO IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT MY CURRENT SCORE of C--I currently have a $14 past due, but no others in the past 7y!)

Monthly net income: $ 8440

Monthly expenses (approximate): $ 5900
  Mortgage: $ 2400
  Insurance: $ 300
  Car expenses: $ 250 (gas!)
  Utilities: app. $ 150
  Phone, cable, internet: $ 200
  Food, entertainment: $ 1200
Clothing, household expenses $200 (mostly our pets)
Credit cards and other loans: $ 700 (will be if we get this loan!)
  Other expenses: $ 500
