I work in adveritising sales. I am on track to make about 52,000 this year. I am interested in getting a loan to consolidate my credit cards and also create a buffer zone so that I do not get into this situation again. I am a good prosper borrower because I have not missed a single payment or ever been late on a payment. I am looking to pay off my first prosper loan, credit cards, and have extra money in the bank. Here are my monthly expenditures: 397 car payment 130 insurance monthly 650 cable, electric, mortgage (I have a roommate who lives in my townhouse and pays 550 rent each month) 55 cell phone total non food expenses = 1232 Total overall debt (including prosper loan) = 12,700 2400 Net take home each month - (I am contributing 6% to my 401k, have prepaid legal, dental, health, so no worries about sickness) Assuming a 9 % interest rate the monthly payment would be around 490. This would be very easy for me to accommidate, leaving me 678 for gas and food per month. No children or pets No foreseen life changes in the next three years 1. This is people helping people. We are saving each other from financial institutions which charge exorbitant rates and keep us in debt. I would much rather pay interest to an individual than a conglomerant. 2. This is a way to consolidate all my debt into a managable monthly payment. I am excited at the opportunity to get out debt, and then hopefully, turn around and start investing in prosper.com people.
