This loan is for startup capital for a new film/television company in Chicago. Here is our story:
In 2005, I graduated from UNC ? Chapel Hill with a BA in Dramatic Art and English. I was an actor, director and a producer of work that I felt extremely proud of creating. I moved to Chicago with grand hopes of rising to the top as an improvisational comedian. What I found was sensational underachievement and shows more often set in bars than not. I made an attempt to fit in, living above my means in order to become a part of the community. I also moved closer to the major improv theatres before finding a roommate in my previous apartment, thus forcing me to pay double the rent on a small salary. I opened new credit lines and maxed out my cards in a rampant show of ignorance. Within the last six months, I have turned things around, reducing my credit card debt by about $2,000 and raising my income by taking on a second job. And then after two years of this self destructive behavior, I finally figured out what it was I was supposed to do in the city of Chicago. I came up with a plan to create a massive Internet Television series about my time working as a barista at that green and black coffee shop we all love to hate. We will employ a large creative team with the budget of a small independent film. We want to create a show that both baristas and the city of Chicago can be proud of. This loan will be used as startup money to help us reach a phase where we can approach investors. We will be creating legal documentation and paying writers who have already written drafts of all thirteen planned full-length episodes. Myself and my three other producers are determined to make this project happen. We are all contributing to pay off the credit of the business. I have listed their monthly income (minus their own monthly expenses) to show what they can contribute to the payments. I refuse to sell myself short any longer. This project has gotten this far due to the tough work and sleepless nights of all four producers and now it will go farther with the help of the Prosper community. Thank you for your time. Monthly net income: $1,500 for myself alone, $5,000 for all four producers together. Monthly expenses: $850 for myself, $3200 for all four producers together. My expenses: Housing: $475 Insurance: $35 Utilities: $20 Phone, cable, Internet: $20 Food, entertainment: $150 Credit cards and other loans: $150 There is currently no foreseen early payment of the loan. |
