Purpose of loan: I am a 38-year-old Corporate Training professional seeking a consolidation loan to enable me to finalize my divorce and move on to the next phase of my life. My husband and I have agreed to settle the divorce without attorneys and part of our agreement is to move debt from a shared credit card to a new loan in my name before the divorce is final. I intend to use this loan to consolidate that shared debt with a couple small credit card debts. Explanation of Credit Grade: Several years ago I attempted to start my own business. After an attempt that lasted two years, the business failed and I was left with a large debt that I found impossible to pay in conjunction with my half of monthly bills. Three years ago, I unwisely chose to settle part of this debt, as I felt very strongly against filing for bankruptcy, not realizing the terrible consequence a settlement would have on my credit. I pay all my bills on time, including the remaining debt from the failed business, and my credit is clean for these years. However, the settlement continues to impact my credit score. Monthly net income: $ 2950 Monthly expenses: $ 2070 currently / $ 1770 with this consolidation loan Housing: $ 400 Car/gas/maintenance: $ 450 Insurance: $ 60 Phone: $ 60 Food/entertainment: $ 300 Other debt: $800 (this is the deb to be consolidated) I am a good candidate for this loan because I am a dependable, gainfully employed, professional woman and feel a strong sense of responsibility towards my lenders. Doing the right thing has always been my top priority and I believe I have learned my lesson about credit, albeit the hard way. I am motivated to pay this loan as quickly as possible as it is my goal to be in a position to buy a house within 3 years. Thank you to those who choose to become a lender on this loan.
