Greetings. I've been a software developer for over 17 years. I've had a health issue (fibromyalgia) that has affected my employment from time to time and kept me from getting ahead. I've had to do payday loans for a while now, and would like to get off that cycle. Also, I owe $1k to CA for taxes and about $4k to the IRS for older taxes, both of which have pretty high penalty rates. Just now, I'm transitioning to a new job (starting Sept 14, 2006) where I will be making at least $85k. Although I have black marks in my credit report, they are largely from 6 years ago (except for 2 car repos where they were from buy-it-here-pay-it-here and where they became dangerous after a few months). I have many credit cards, all with perfect repayment. My normal FICO would place me as a "C" rating. Was surprised to see an "E" rating as a result, but am resolving the issue. I appreciate the chance to get ahead faster than I can on my own. |
