Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to convert our vacation rental to solar power. We just spent $40,000 to finish the basement and enclose the hot tub room this last spring. The contractor that did the work is in the process of converting his construction company from "traditional" construction to "green" construction and he would like to use our vacation home as a show home. If we pay for the eco-friendly upgrades he will supply the labor for free. Due to the fact that we just spent $40,000 of our savings we are not very liquid at the moment, but would hate to pass up the opportunity. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I am very financially responsible and have not been late on a payment since 2002 and my assets far out weigh my liabilities.
