I am a grandmother raising my grandchild so as to provide a stable and safe environment. I need a loan to pay for legal fees associated with obtaining guardianship which will enable me to seek support either from the parents or the state. I am raising this child on my own without any support from either parent and have done pretty well so far. The additional support I am able to obtain will allow me to put some money aside for her future and make life a little easier for both of us. I have had some credit problems in the past due to a bad marriage and worse divorce. Since being on my own I have been able to pay my bills (never missed a car payment in over a year) and I am working to clear the negative items on my credit report. I have a good steady job with a national non-profit organization and I was recently recommended for a promotion once I complete training in Oct. This will also mean a salary increase. I am asking for a chance to make my grandchild's life more secure and permanent. My whole life is this child and I would like to know she will always be safe and happy. |
