Purpose of loan: I am relisting this loan for a lower amount. I might have been asking too much especially since this will be the first loan to be funded. This loan will be used to payoff my credit cards. We have the money in our savings to pay them off, but per our credit monitoring system, we don't have a "good mix" of loans, so that is why I am trying out Prosper, to get the "good mix" of loans and help better my credit. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I want so much to better my credit and this is one of the best ways I know how to. I have been responsible my entire life-- pretty much had to be the man of the house at age 12 and had to make many hard decisions for my family. I pay my bills on time-- most of them are set up on my automatic bill pay so I don't ever miss a payment. I have tried paying down my credit cards to just 5.00 and keeping them balances below 30% of my credit, and I haven't seen the "big jump" in my credit score as I had hoped for. That is why I am trying to get a good mixture of loans as stated by my credit monitoring service to hopefully achieve that better credit score.
