I would like to thank all lenders who are taking the time to assess my loan request. I am seeking these funds to augment cash flow as a result of normal summer season slow sales. The high sales period is from October through June, and sales cool off from July through September. In February 2005, I opened a Pump It Up (PIU) store in Irvine, CA. The franchise has grown from 6 stores in 2003, to over 135 now open across the USA. the business concept enables individuals to host private events at our facilities, where large inflatable equipment (bounce houses, obstacle courses, slides, etc.) are positioned in brightly colored, climate controlled spaces. The predominant customers are parents of children between the ages of 2 to 14, hosting birthday celebrations. For one flat fee ($225 Mon-Thurs and $265 Fri-Sun/Holidays), hosts may invite up to 25 guests to attend their event. Guest parents are not including in the guest count, but they are welcomed to play on the equipment right along with the kids making it an outstanding and healthy environment for all! I can recommend two on-line sources to gain a fair insight into the industry (PIU is a market leader) and into the PIU franchise itself. Business Week did a segment on the industry, this can be seen at http://feedroom.businessweek.com/ifr_main.jsp?nsid=a-653ba03d:10d7eb2b5c7:30d9&rf=sv&fr_story=e8639693a6459b269823535fc04c620e5c7083cb&st=1157476772828&mp=WMP&cpf=true&fr=090406_101609_w653ba03dx10d7b6f8cc2xwb00&rdm=485315.7824733395 and on the franchise by going to our website at www.pumpitupparty.com Since opening in Feb 05, our event sales by month in 2006 (through August) compared to 2005 has increased by nearly 400 (average sales per event of $350). As we head into October our event sales will continue to see the same strong performance. The summer months are slow and this is consistent system wide and is largely due to people being timid to host events when their prospective guests are otherwise engaged (summer camps, vacations, etc.). While sales for July through August were reasonable, the slower sales have had an impact on cash flow and that is the purpose of my loan request. |
