Purpose of loan: Simply, the proceeds of this loan will pay off two large credit card balances which have an average combined interest rate greater than 15%. I just finished reading "Debt cures 'they' don't want you to know about" by Kevin Trudeau, and I believe it's much more effective to pay down a traditional loan such as I would obtain here on Prosper than it is to pay rapacious interest to the credit card issuers. My financial situation: My credit is AA the last time I checked, the highest ranking available, so there's little to worry about regarding repayment.
