Thanks to everyone considering bidding on our second Prosper loan. A few things I hope you will consider about our listing: 1. Our first loan, to finalize the adoption of our son Marcus, was completed in December, 2006 and has been paid as agreed. That?s 19 consecutive on-time payments. You can expect exactly the same thing from this loan. 2. My credit score is low at the moment because I got caught in the housing crash when my employer (a Fortune 100 Silicon Valley high tech firm) transferred me to Chicago. My home in Atlanta sat on the market for 18 months, during which time I paid my $2300 mortgage and $2400 in monthly rent in Chicago. When it became clear that the home would not sell, I was forced to stop making mortgage payments and negotiate a short sale for 65% of what I paid for the home. 3. This loan is to consolidate several high interest debts, which I am paying off right now. I hope you will consider this a second indication of the low risk of my listing. 4. This listing is not being made in desperation. I am asking for the help of Prosper lenders, and doing so with all due respect for this business transaction.
