I am a self-employeed small business owner. I have owned my own retail store for 18 years and about a year and a half ago started an ebay consignment store in conjunction with my retail store. After about six months I realized that I could do much better selling my own items rather than trying to unload other people's junk. Within months I then attained powerseller status and my ebay business has been growing steadily. I currently have about 1300 items listed with the majority being smaller gift items (blankets, inspirational and religious items) and also many larger items (I now offer a complete line of Frigidaire appliances and am in the process of adding our newly aquired line of LG appliances. Last holiday season was very good for me and I shipped out 25-50 items a day. This was when I only had listed about 200-300 items. After having this past year to work on streamlining my operations and developing my listing and selling strategies I anticipate a phenomenal holiday season this year. As such I am looking to Prosper to help me increase my inventory selections for this season. This loan will be used to puchase pallet loads of blankets and other items. By starting in soon, I will have plenty of time to receive the items, take individual photos of each, write and edit my ebay descriptions and get the ads listed on ebay. My debt to income ratio is a little high because Propser does not let me include my wifes income for the loan request although she is on all of our bank loans. In addition to our retail store and ebay business, My wife and I also own a duplex, triplex, and 4 rental homes. I am very active in my local community and have been a volunteer firefighter for over 12 years and also am an active member of our church.
