Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to payoff my credit cards. We have the money in our savings to pay them off, but per our credit monitoring system, we don't have a "good mix" of loans, so that is why I am trying out Prosper, to get the "good mix" of loans and help better my credit. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I want so much to better my credit and this is one of the best ways I know how to. I have been responsible my entire life-- pretty much had to be the man of the house at age 12 and had to make many hard decisions for my family. I pay my bills on time-- most of them are set up on my automatic bill pay so I don't ever miss a payment. I have tried paying down my credit cards to just 5.00 and keeping them balances below 30% of my credit, and I haven't seen the "big jump" in my credit score as I had hoped for. That is why I am trying to get a good mixture of loans as stated by my credit monitoring service to hopefully achieve that better credit score.
