Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to roof our home. We moved from Florida to Michigan last April where my husband's family lives and bought our first home. We absolutely love it up here and love our old farm house, however, in the past month our roof has begun leaking. My husband, who is a very handy guy, seems to be no match for small sections of the roof that are rubber. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I have a good credit history and a great job. My husband and I have very good work ethics, however, at the rate that the roof is leaking, we really need to have it done this summer. We take great pride in our home and care for it well. We never miss work and both have great attendance records. Our dept to income ratio, I believe, is in our favor, but we just don't have the lump sum now to get the job done. We have tried the bank thru which our mortgage is through, but with the depreciating market value of homes right now, a home equity isn't very promising. We have plently of extra income each month and can comfortably afford a loan that will cost us about $300 - $400 monthly. We want to get the job done as soon as possible for fears that the leaks will cause damage to the inside of our home. To provide us this loan, would also allow us to sleep at night. We are just very honest, hard working people who have hit a leaky wall and are looking for a way to fix it ASAP. |
