Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to help pay for the expenses of my wedding. My girlfriend and I have been dating for 3 years and it's time to tie the knot. I am working for a major engineering company and she will be starting up grad school in the fall, so we'd like to get married before school starts. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I have no debt other than low interest student loans. I'm a mechanical engineer who makes a good salary and is very good at managing money. I've recently gradutated and am currently a salaried, full time employee of a Fortune 100 company making 62,000/yr. The above income doesn't not yet reflect this amount as prosper requires a previous years W-2 forms as proof of income. Although the above income appears low, I think that it should be interpreted as a testimate to my work ethic as income earned while completing a competitive engineering degree. Finally I'd like to add that I rent an apartment and own my car so I have no mortgage or car payments to make leaving that much more discretionary income at the end of the month.
