Purpose of loan: Ok, change of plans! We are no longer going to sell this car! It is an extra but we are going to hang on to it. Possibly use it for business, or something else. I would still like to pay down $7000 of the loan and we would pay off the other $7000 with this loan from prosper. We have a really high interest loan and it still has 5 years left on it! Ouch! My financial situation: We have no debt! My wife and I have worked very hard to pay off all of our loans (except house) and credit cards. We just made our last payment on our first prosper loan. This car loan is the last one we have! I work a great job in the tech industry as a website programmer and account manager. I also have income from a part time job; I am a youth pastor which brings in an extra $6000 per year. I will speak to the late payment for our last prosper loan. We had our house broken into and a bunch of checks were stolen, so we closed out the account that we had our auto pay setup to. We weren't able to get the payment account switched in time, so it pulled the money from a closed account. Monthly net income: $ $5000.00 Monthly expenses: $ 2320 Housing: $ 755 Insurance: $ 150.00 Car expenses: $ 365 <-Currently with the one car loan we are paying off with the prosper loan. Utilities: $ 300.00 Phone, cable, internet: $ 150 Food, entertainment: $ 500 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 0 Other expenses: $ As you can see, I have plenty of income extra per month. We are planning on paying this loan down as soon as we can, but we are not going to be selling the car as I have recently posted I was going to do. |
