Thank you for considering my second loan request on Prosper. I have been a faithful Prosper member for nearly sixteen months. I am current on all my payments and have never been late. I am also an approved lender and looking for some loans to fund at this time. This is a relisting for a second loan on Prosper and I am hoping to obtain the needed funding to expand my law practice.  As mentioned in my member paragraph, I have been running my own law firm for the last five years. I am averaging approximately $160,000 per year in annual revenues.  Please also read my member paragraph regarding my climbing credit score and past necessary credit issues.

Originally, I was seeking to expand my law firm by incorporating a mediation practice. I have been building my mediation practice this year and it has become an integral part of my family law practice. Having been an entrepreneur for many years, I am continually looking for ways to build and improve on my existing businesses. The addition of a mediation practice to my law firm this year was a positive move, as it was closely related to what I do on a daily basis for my clients. In keeping with this developing standard, I have decided to launch a website that is geared towards helping pro se parties, those without attorneys, successfully navigate the maze of a family law case, such as divorce, child support, child custody and adoption. While I?m hesitant to place my full business idea here for all to see, I am open to answering individual lender questions via our message centers. The idea is to provide the resources and coaching necessary to help those that do not have the available funds to hire an attorney, but still desperately need professional guidance. It is my goal to begin with the family law realm, as that is my specialty, and then incorporate other areas of laws in the future. This second Prosper loan would provide the necessary resources to pursue this endeavor.

I am seeking a loan of $15,000. The loan would be used for the following:  development and build of the website, design and printing of marketing materials, development and printing of coaching/training materials, set up fees for my merchant account, and a pay down of my small credit cards. The payment down of my credit cards will assist in boosting my credit score. I obtained these small credit cards to rebuild my credit and have funds available for emergency business expenses (like exploding printers and computers). If my business expenses are less than the initial quotes, I would also like to place more funds in my lender account, so that I may help others as I have been helped.

My business is flourishing again this year and I anticipate making about $180-$200K this year in revenues. I have approximately $750-$1000 per month in over cash flow currently, which allows me to easily make the new loan payment. Additionally, the cash flow from the new business, which I estimate to begin within six months, will further add to my monthly income over that of my law firm.

While my credit history may be a little lackluster, I am an extremely dedicated person and committed to whatever I do. This is evident in my growing law firm. It was a tremendous leap to strike out as a solo practitioner, but I would not change the experience. I am very excited about this business expansion. If this proves successful, which I do not doubt, I plan to continue developing the idea to help those that need support in the most difficult times of their life.

Thank you again for your consideration. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions.
