I am applying for this loan to consolidate some of the debt I incurred for my skin cancer. The total cost for the surgery was $6,000. The amount I am asking for is a small amount that would allow me some breathing room on my credit cards. My credit has suffered recently due to the utilization of my credit cards to pay for the surgery. In addition, I was concerned that my lower credit rating right now and the maximum interest rate my home state will allow will discourage lenders from my listing. A bit of history, in May of 2007 this growth appeared rapidly on my face. From June to August, the diagnosis ranged from a benign tumor to keratoacanthoma, to a form of squamous cell carcinoma. Skin Cancer. It was determined that I should removed it completely using a procedure called Mohs Surgery since the tumor was on my face. The surgery occured at the end of August of 2007. The cancer was completely removed and there is only a 5% chance of the cancer returning to that location. Even if you choose not to fund my loan, please apply your sunscreen regularly and see your dermatologist often. I'm only 39 but all the summers at the beach since childhood have caught up with me but I am now skin cancer FREE! :) |
