Purpose of loan: The old Swimming Hole needs safety upgrades and new landscaping. This pool was built in 1963. Because it is at the bottom of a hillside lot, it was hand dug. The neighbors were a friendly community. There were no fences back then. Every kid in the neighborhood was free to swim at will. Things had changed when I bought the property in 1975. There were fences. Those fences have been mended many times. Requirements for swimming pool fencing are tougher now. I need to replace the old fences at a cost of $5500. Some of the original trees are incompatible with a pool area and will be replaced with more appropriate landscaping. That will simplify maintenance and save money on chemicals.
