Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to enable me to take some time off of work to be with my wife and new born son. His due date is July 18. I will also use $1200 of this loan to pay off my credit card. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because this will be my second loan from prosper.com. My first loan was used to consolidate debt and reestablish my credit rating after filing bankruptcy. My prosper credit grade jumped from an "E" to a "D". I also experienced a jump in my fico score. I had the first loan paid back within 8 months. I now understand that to get the maximum benefit from making payments on time, I should have kept the loan open for 12 months or more. So this loan will be open for at least 12 months for you to earn interest :) I would also like to add that if I wanted to, I could just take time off of work and live on my 2 credit cards for a while. But if I must pay interest to take this time off, I would much rather it go into the pockets of private individuals who have put their confidence and trust in me rather than to a soulless bank that has used a computer program to determine what my risk factor and interest rate is. I am not a number, a robot, or a production unit. I am a human being, and would prefer to do business with other human beings! Monthly net income: $ 2516 Monthly expenses: $ Housing: $ 625 Insurance: $ 108 Car expenses: $ 340 Utilities: $ 150 Phone, cable, internet: $ 120 Food, entertainment: $ 450 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 0 Other expenses : $ 200 Average total monthly expenses $2100 leaving me with approx $416 to pay down debt with. I have used my excess cash to pay down my car loan. I will continue to do that while paying back this prosper loan. I like to keep my credit cards paid off. I recently used my credit card to pay for a water filter which I believe we really needed. I will be consolidating that balance of $1200 with this loan. Thank you so much for your consideration. |
