Purpose of loan: I will use this loan to facilitate the purchase of a home when I return home from Iraq. I have saved a large some of money, but need a little more to help cover the cost of moving in to my new home. I am new to prosper and believe this new concept of investing in others directly is interesting. I believe other people could benefit from its use, however, I would prefer to try it out before I recommend it to others.
My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because of my good credit history and stable employment as a US Army Officer. I have never missed a payment, and have no credit card debt. Furthermore I am under contract for the next three years with the Army. I do own a home that is rented out currently. The rent more then covers the house payment in a growing military market.
