Purpose of loan:
During the last year in an attempt to increase the value of my home we did some home improvement projects like put in hardwood floors and have our basement finished to give us some additional living space.  During that time we used some special offers from the home improvement companies to pay no money down and no interest or payments until July of 2008.  Well these promotoins are coming due and I wanted to pay them all off before I had to pay any of the interest and deal with the monthly high interest payments.  And consolidating the payments into 1 prosper loan (with a 3 year term) is a great way to ensure things are paid back in a reasonable timeframe at a reasonable rate.

My financial situation:

I have a solid credit rating meaning that I have consistently paid back all of my debts both on time and completely.  I have a very good job in a stable and growing market (healthcare technology) that allows me to cover all of my current expenses with room to spare.
