Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to pay for SAGE truck driving school. I desire to upgrade my current Class B CDL to a Class A, with doubles/triples, HAZMAT and tanker endorsements. I have driven a concrete mixer truck for 6 years, and the construction industry is certainly in a down swing, creating less hours worked and less salary. With the new license, I can open more avenues of opportunity, leading to a larger salary and better quality of life. My financial situation: I had a personal business from 4/03 to 9/04, that found me over leveraged when my tools were stolen. Shortly after returning to concrete, the fall of '05 cement shortage struck. This created severe financial hardship going into winter. I recently refinanced my 80/20 ARM mortgage into a FHA 30 yr @ 6%, saving over $300/mo. I also have several thousand dollars in cash reserve.
