Purpose of loan: Pay off credit cards. I have two credit cards I have utilized recently to pay for medical treatment needed by my boxer Roxie. While this may seem like a frivolous expenditure to most please realize that I am a single 37 year old with no kids or ex-wives to support. I consider my dog to be an important part of my life and a part that I was willing to spend a significant amount of money on. Now as opposed to paying the high rate credit cards I would just like to pay off one lump sum with out having to break into my emergency savings. My financial situation: I have a great job as a Software Engineer at a large defense-contractor. As stated above I'm single with no dependents, and own my own house. I also own my car and Harley outright. Since I began work as an engineer I have worked diligently to repay past bills accrued due to a 10 year fight with the disease Colitis and have successfully repaired the damage incurred to my credit rating due to that fight. I have been cured of the Colitis (removal of large intestines did the trick) and now train consistently for triathlons. I am the also president of the local Triathlon club. I work hard to give back to the community having raised over $7000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society?s Team in Training program the two times I have participated in the program. Currently I am lending approximately $1000 in the prosper community with an average rate of 12.3 %. |
