Purpose: Gas is at a record high - this is not news. My pickup gets 18mpg. I drive about 150 miles/week for work. I wish to remedy the situation by purchasing a motorcycle. A Yamaha V-Star Custom to be precise. It looks sharp and gets close to 60mpg. I can cut my weekly gas expense from $30 to $9. Thats over $80/month just in gas during the week. I've wanted one for many years but I'm only pulling the trigger now to cut down on my gas use. Repayment: I will repay this loan with an automatic debit from my checking account. I have direct deposit and enough disposable income to absorb the debt. I'll actually be saving money by not driving my pickup but I won't really "feel" the savings initially. There will be long term benefits as gas prices increase and I repay this loan. I am the VP of Engineering at my company. We have many fortune 100 customers with long term contracts and business is stable and growing. My Credit: Here is my sob story: My current credit problem is due to a house sale that went bad. My family moved from Omaha, Ne and my house was on the market for about 9 months. We were juggling 2 houses for too long and it sunk my credit. Bankruptcy was out of the question for me. Our credit situation is turning around but this takes time. Thank you for your consideration. |
