We have just made an offer on a new home in our same neighborhood and the buyer has accepted. We are scrambling to do some minor fixes to our current home to get it in 'show' condition to put it on the market without having to dip into our down payment funds. We are needing some short-term cash to do some improvements. We need to replace the front dining and living room carpet, powerwash the house, paint some rooms, purchase some home accessories, etc to get our house ready to show. We are scheduled to close on the new house Sept. 8th. We estimate our home will sell in less than 30 days based on our current local market conditions according to our realitor. Once our home sells, we expect to make around $30k profit. |
