Purpose of loan: I would like to start by saying thank you for looking. I need startup capital to purchase equipment to make Biodiesel. I plan on making Biodiesel out of pure vegtable oil wich I am going to extrude from the feed that our cows eat. Pure vegtable oil makes better fuel. With everything we do having to rely on diesel fuel from mixing enough feed to feed the cows, to shipping milk to the market. Basicly every aspect of farming relies on diesel trucks. On the farm in our equipment we use about 5000 gallons of fuel per year, (estimated cost of fuel this year is $22,500) last years fuel cost $14,000. By making our own fuel with the cost of materials (ie., methanol, and lye), equipment, and time, we believe that we can make it for $1 a gallon, thats $5000. dollars this year, a savings of $17,500 this year alone. If the price of fuel climbs higher than $4.50/gal. the savings will be more. Feed Right now we feed our cows soybean meal or extruded soybean (soy beans without oil). Last years soy cost was $16,500 dollars, this years estimated cost is $19,000. This soy is already processed, so the oil is already out of it. If we extrude our own soy for the oil we can purchase raw soy beans at an estimated cost of $11,250 for the year. The raw soy is cheaper as there is less processing done to it. We would get approx. 2,800 gallons of fuel out of the soy that we use. We can use canola in place of soy, the raw canola is cheaper than soy and we would use less of it, we could save $9,500 off the feed billover the year if we replace the soy with canola. Canola is the better choice as we would get 6,000 gallons of oil off it as compared to the 2,800 off of the soy. We will save money on our feed bill by purchasing an unprocessed bean, we will greatly reduce our fuel cost. And we also plan on renting the machine to other local dairy farms. Materials to purchase. CLB-500 extruder system 11,000 augers (2) 4,000 total 15,000 This system with everything I need to get started is roughly $20,000, I have already started purchasing the rest of the equipment such as methoxide mixing tanks, plumbing, a trialer to mount the system on, and other misc. items. I have the other $5,000 that this will take to make it a reality. Biodiesel is renewable all you have to do is grow more beans and you have more fuel. Biodiesel is non-toxic, much safer for the enviroment, in fact it is Bio degradalble. Glycerin from the Biodiesel production makes good fertilizer or bar soap. Methanol can be reused in the process. Helps keep the production cost down. Biodiesel is basiclly vegtable oil so there are little to no green house gasses going up from your engine. Better engine lubrication. helpful sites www.croplandbiodiesel.com www.journeytofoever.org www.biodieselnow.com www.waldermfg.com Part Time pay $600/week Farm pay $300/week Farm is Family owned and operated |
