Purpose of loan: Credit card finance charges are devouring our income. Rates keep going up and juggling from card to card is like a tightrope walk. It just makes better sense to pay off these cards and consolidate our monthly payments into a manageable plan to pay down the debt. With a new baby due in a few weeks, putting more of our income into savings and investments has become increasingly important to me. I've never been a parent before and I want to make sure my new daughter gets the same financial security my parents gave me. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I've recently been promoted into an administrative position within our school district as the Chief Information Officer/District Technology Coordinator. Being in my job for over 5 years already, this bump up has secured my place in the district just as I became eligible for tenure. More money is a benefit of the new job, as well as the long term security of an "uncuttable" position (technology is the center of today's educational philosophies...so my role is pivotal to the district). Basically, I'd rather make one solid and unchanging payment to Prosper lenders instead of bowing at the feet of the almighty credit card corporations. The days of play now, pay later are over and I'm ready to put them in the past so that my family can move confidently into the future. |
