Purpose of loan: I'm starting a new business... as a larger part of starting my whole life over again! Last year, I decided to relocate to the Carolinas. My ex-husband, his wife and I (with whom I have a great relationship) are raising our kids in a shared cooperative arrangement, and decided together to relocate from the NY area, to the Carolinas. In addition to the Carolinas being a lot more affordable, we were confident that we could offer our kids a wonderful quality of life there. So... I've been preparing to leave my job and start my business ever since. As much progress as I've made, I've still got a long way to go financially -- and lots of business related bills coming in! I've got worked booked -- enough to support myself and my kids (and to pay this loan) -- but I need additional funds for things like work-related travel (which I must pay for first, and wait for reimbursement), legal fees, equipment, etc. My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because I am committed to making this work -- for my sake, and for my children. I have enough cash flow coming in to pay the loan back but... as the saying goes, it takes money to make money! I have a great track record -- financially, as well as professionally. I've written four books, and have been on the faculty of an ivy-league university for over seven years. Now, it's time to go out on my own -- and I will! I just need a little help from my soon-to-be friends. |
