Introduction

I'm a first-year law student at University of Minnesota Law School.  This summer, I'll use May and June to gain some practical legal experience, and I hope to spend July studying international human rights and comparative criminal law in Amsterdam.  I've found this amazing program through Tulane University Law School, and I'll be able to pay for it with student loans through my school, but the loan money won't be disbursed until after I've already left for Europe--too late to use it for my plane ticket, summer tuition, and other related expenses.

Loan Purpose

This money will be used for costs associated with a month-long study in Amsterdam (and, hopefully, a weekend trip into France or Germany).

Repayment

The loan I am seeking represents an amount I will be able to repay in a timely and responsible manner.  I take my obligations seriously and value my credit rating.  I plan to pay off the loan within one year, using mostly student loan disbursements.  I currently work part-time as a Personal Care Assistant for children with special needs, which supplements my student loan "income" slightly, and I anticipate additional earnings from summer employment during May, June, and August.

Please note that while my debt-to-income ratio is quite high, that does not in any way reflect my ability to repay the loan.  Law school is an expensive endeavor, and I'm relying heavily on student loans.  My income potential is great, and I have "emergency" support from my boyfriend (a full-time Industrial Engineer) if the need should ever arise.  Please bid with confidence.
