So I learned of this website from a consumer advocate in Atlanta. He spoke highly of Prosper because of the ability of people to people lending - being ideal for people like me who have good credit but can't get funding from a bank due to the red tape. The reason for my listing is to pay off high interest credit card debt. The way I figured this would be beneifical for me to do is my estimated payment would be less then all my minimums put together. Even if my interest rate was raised higher to be completely funded, it would still be less than 1 credit card interest rate that I would be paying. I currently pay out almost $700 a month in credit card payments and that is only making the minimum payment due. A little about myself.... I am a single mom of two boys (9 years old and 7 months), working two jobs. My primary job is a Staff Nurse in a private pediatrician's office. I have been with the same practice for 6 1/2 years. My second job is Home Health Private Duty. I do this on the weekends. I have been with them for 3 years. My boys are my number one priority. I try so hard to balance everything in my life and make sure my debt doesn't effect them in any way. Like most moms, I want to spend as much time with them as possible and especially quality time vs. a stressed out mom. As you can see, my credit profile is clean. No delicinacies, no late payments. I try very hard to keep my credit clean as I know how important it is. I just need a little help keeping my head above water. If you help me get my loan funded, you would be contributing to a better life for my boys. They have no idea of my situation as they shouldn't.
