Purpose of loan:This loan will be used to pay off three credit card balances that I acquired out of work waiting on a heart transplant. I have been out of work for a year and a half due to a heart attack that I had in November of 2007. I used family sick leave, short term and long term disability to stay on track and have done a great job. I received a heart transplant two days before Christmas in 2008 and have nearly reached a full recovery. They say that my recovery is a textbook case. Combined with my loss of income, the necessity to begin paying health insurance premiums, and the added cost of maintaining a dual residence for my husband while in the transplant unit, we accumulated credit card balances and stretched out our home equity line of credit. My financial situation:I am a good candidate for this loan because I am back to work with a steady income to be able to pay it back. I have one account that reports as delinquent, however, it has already been brought up to current. Also, the majority of the revolving debt that I have comes from a Home Equity Line of Credit that I have. We used a large portion of this to pay for my son's wedding that took place last year. My husband also has stable income, though it is not included in my figures. ADDITIONALLY, we have a $5,000.00 deposit with the pharmacy at the hospital where I received my transplant. This was necessary to obtain approval by the transplant board. This deposit will be returned to us in full on May 11. In addition to this, we have $10,000.00 in reimbursements from United HealthCare for expenses that we incurred throughout this process including rent, travel expenses, and co-pays. This should be paid within the next 45 days. When these cards are closed out and paid for, I intend to refinance the my home and home equity line of credit into one payment on a 30 yr mortgage. I currently have a 15 yr mortgage, thus a higher payment. Receiving a heart transplant and having my life saved has given me a new optimism and I can't wait to be debt free. The Credit Card Balances Are: Capital One: $2,821.65 (24.99%) Discover Cd: $8,255.23 (26.99%) American Express: $4,855.20 (23.24%) Our home equity line is at 7.25% The figures below represent $1600.00 in housing that is covered by my husband's income. Therefore, the additional income that I have will now go towards paying off debt and paying down our equity line until we refinance. The D credit rating is a product of significant balances on outstanding revolving accounts, but an otherwise excellent payment history has been illustrated. We did not get behind on any credit cards, mortgage, or other loans, while I was in the hospital. Please help if you can, and feel free to contact with any questions! Monthly net income: $4100 Monthly expenses: $ 3085.69 Housing: $ 1600Insurance: $ 0 Car expenses: $ 320.69Utilities: $ 100 Phone, cable, internet: $ 65 Food, entertainment: $ 100 Clothing, household expenses $ 100 Credit cards and other loans: $ 600 Other expenses: $200 (Prescriptions) |
