Dear Lender,

I am writing in regards to obtain a short-term loan from March 2006-July 2006. My name is Shay [LAST NAME DELETED] and I am a post graduate student , age 32.

I graduated from Pepperdine University in Political Science and Philosophy. My current status has me classified as a "borrower" but I would like to make the move and become a "lender" (just like you!)  once my short-term loan that I am applying for ($2,800.00) is paid off in full, within the four month loan period that I have designated. I would like to participate fully in the "Lender-to-Lender" program that Prosper offers. Also, by paying off this loans in the time period stated, my credit rating will improve substantially and will benefit the whole group.

My federal student graduate loans ($18,500.00) will be disbursed in July 2006, as this will provide an added "safety net" or "insurance" that will secure my loan pay-off  date by July 2006. The loan amount requested is just to help me through this very difficult time.

My credit is rated as "NC" as I have no credit cards and paid off all of my debt (minus my student loans) in 1999. Acquiring debt gave me the knowledge not to live outside of your means. My credit is good, but since I have no debt history over the past 7 years(other than student loans), my credit appears is rated as "NC".  Since 1999, I pay for most things in cash or by direct debt (which come directly out my checking account). Clothes, food, rent and living costs are paid in cash.

My debt/income ratio is high due to my student loans and my current salary. Pepperdine University was not a basement bargain university, let me tell you! But hopefully, graduate school will help me attain "that better job" once I graduate.

If you have any question, please feel free to email at my personal address at: [EMAIL DELETED].

Thank you for your time and support!

Best Regards,

Shay [LAST NAME DELETED]
