My wife and I are trying to pay off high interest credit cards...more of them. We are getting by every month, but want to get rid of the debt. My wife and I have recently changed jobs. If you look at our other listing, you will see that we were in the real estate market, which as you know is really down. I still have my real estate license, and have one listing. The job I changed to, I realized last fall, is what I truly want to do. I work for Chick-fil-A as a General Manager. I am pursuing a career with the company, to one day own/operate my own store. My wife is currently working as a Property Manager at an apartment complex and is loving it.I plan to obtain this loan in the same comfort zone of payments as we are paying now, just at a better interest rate. The main reason my credit is an A, is because of the young credit history. I am 24 years old, and a recent college grad (2005). Most of these cards I obtained in college. I have never gone into default or been delinquent on any account. Below is a list of mine and my wife?s credit card debt. We bought a house (in my name) in March 2007, we have one car payment (under my name), and two student loan payments each month. The main purpose of this loan is to start becoming debt free. My wife and I just want to live better financially than "month to month." We want to put more into savings (right now, our only savings is my Simple IRA from work). If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I am not sure why my debt to income ratio is >1000%. I have had my current job since October 2007. My non housing payments do not exceed my income. I make 30,000/yr, and my wife makes very similar, which is not accounted for in that ratio. A lot of this info in this listing is similar to our previous because not much has changed. We have been timely on all of our current Prosper payments, and have no reason not to be on any future. This is what we paid off with the previous loan: Credit Cards Balance RateBOA (wife) $2175 24.99 Chase (mine) $3000 24.24 Wife?s Car Note Balance was $6300 This is what we want to pay off now: AMEX (wife) $1737 23.25 Capital One (wife) $2450 18.99 AMEX(mine) $1013 24.00 Other Expenses: 5 other cards from 0%-21%, totaling $7500 Utilities $170/mo Mortgage $1024/mo Wife's Insurance $100/mo (went down from previous listing) TV/Phone $0 (no longer have since previous listing) My Truck Note $350/mo Cell Phones $90/mo |
