MAX INTEREST RATE STATE ALLOWS! Purpose of loan: This loan will be used to... Pay Down Tax Bill We Owe, & Credit Card Debt My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because? The past 6-8 months have been a downfall for me. I have been trying to pay off debt and raise my credit score, just when I thought things were looking up, I was blind sided, last year I was a victim of identity theft; I had over $2000.00 stolen from my account which had to be closed out. To add to the chaos, my 11-year-old son ended up in the hospital for pneumonia in September. We submitted the bills to the insurance company several times only to have them refuse to pay, which ended up going on my credit report only to have my credit score drop significantly. Now we ended up with a bill from the IRS for my husband?s business; he owes for 2006 taxes $5000.00, which we don?t have. This is why I am turning to Prosper for help! About Me: I am a mother of two children, I?ve been married for 12 years, I just started a new position as a Senior Project Manager for a well known company. I?ve worked with them in the past as a consultant. Prior to this position, I worked for a year and a half as a Project Manager and received two raises within 6 months. The reason for leaving my last position is due to layoffs. DQ's: As for the two late payments with Prosper, they were not 30 days late, I had changed my bank account twice due to identity theft; I had faxed over the paperwork a few days before my loan payment was scheduled to come out, however, the paperwork did not get processed in time. I immediately called Prosper the next day and explained the situation, and had them pull the payment from the new account. As for the low credit score, as I mentioned earlier, this is due to identity theft and medical bills not getting paid from the insurance company. I have raised my credit score up a point and would like to continue to do so by consolidating my debt. I always make sure that all my bills are paid on time including Prosper!
