I am re-listing at this reduced amount, realizing my original request was high given my credit profile and my rate cap of 15%.
I have a longer term plan for Prosper and see it has potential as a valuable business asset. While often times I think big, I realize I need to start slow to get there. That said, I would like this opportunity to demonstrate to the Prosper community that I am in fact a credit worthy individual. I plan to pay this loan off in less than two years and hope to return for another opportunity at a higher amount ? for investment purposes.
So as not borrow money for borrowing sake, I will (nearly) pay off a credit card balance currently costing me 18.9%. That savings would translate to the payment of my Prosper loan. In addition, my current budget allows for more than $600 of free cash flow per month generated by my annual income of $130,000. From a credit perspective, I am ranked an ?E? mostly because of high utilization on my revolving accounts ? which I use to purchase materials for my real estate rehab business. I have 0 current delinquencies, 4 within the past seven years, and 0 public records.
The four delinquencies are as follows:
1) A car repossession in 1999 which has since been settled.
2) A credit card I ignorantly subscribed to that charged $180 annually with a $200 credit limit. I fought the debt, all the while causing damage to my credit. This account was subsequently settled when I gave up.
3) A credit card - made one late payment 9/05.
4) A three year old car note ? I made two late payments 11/05 and 6/06.
