Purpose of loan: I want to pay off some personal loans from friends and some high-interest credit card debt. My fiance and I are getting married soon, and we're carrying some of the cost of our (slightly lavish) wedding on credit cards. My fiance is carrying a disproportionate share of the burden, and I really want to start this marriage off on fair financial grounds. Also, I know from experience that when I have too many little bills to juggle, I inevitably forget one; one automatic payment makes sense for my sanity. My financial situation: My work situation is very stable, I have good health insurance, and we are nicely settled in an affordable apartment. I have made the calculations, and I know that the loan I am asking for is one that I will be very able to afford. I also have an emergency fund should something unexpected happen.
