Background - Hello and thank you for reading!  I have a 760+ credit score - Prosper Grade AA; DTI 17%. If successful, this would be my second Prosper loan. See previous listing here (http://www.prosper.com/lend/listing.aspx?listingID=189452).   I am a professional financial consultant in my late-30s (I know how money works) and have been employed with the same firm for the last 10+ years. My firm offers medical & retirement benefits and incentive comp. I don?t like the idea of posting my photo ? so I posted one of Thomas Jonathan Jackson. He is more interesting and better looking than me anyway.  I also included a picture of our son.

Purpose - $12,200 Loan Request   This loan will be used to fund IVF treatments. We are blessed to have one child already. But after multiple miscarriages since then, my wife (now age 40) and I will seek IVF treatments for one last try at this. We already invested in the preliminary screening and tests required and received doctor?s approvals.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT   A women?s fertility drops precipitously after age 35. Your chances of a successful pregnancy drop roughly from roughly 50% to less than 10% by age 40. For some, pre-menopausal changes begin even earlier. If you want children ? start early ? before age 30. IVF is expensive and not fun.

Financial Profile - I actively manage multiple secured and unsecured credit lines, all at low fixed rates, with a flawless 0/0/0 repayment record, and no delinquencies in over 18 years as a borrower. I have a 4:1 assets to liabilities ratio. Most assets are locked-up in conservative tax-advantaged investments, which could be liquidated if necessary.   I am an active lender on Prosper and currently have $2,300 invested here. As a lender, I understand the importance of receiving payments on time. All of my lending information can be verified on lendingstats.com (http://www.lendingstats.com/lenders/Reputation1).

Income / Expenses - My base monthly salary is $9,300 plus incentive comp (still working to achieve Cornell?s alumni average of $150K). Monthly take home is ~ $6,000 after taxes, retirement, insurance, medical, etc.

Monthly Expenses:

  • Mortgage & taxes (5/1 ARM, 4.75% fixed until 2010): $1,691
  • HELOC (6.5% variable): $200
  • Food & supplies: $980
  • Credit card loan payments: $690 (5 cards, from 4.99% to 6.99%, all fixed)
  • Prosper Loan 1: $477 (9.0%)
  • Daycare (part time): $250
  • Car expenses (gas, maintenance): $125
  • Utilities (gas, electric, phone, water, cable, internet, garbage): $310
  • Other living expenses (clothes, home improvements, etc.): $125
  • Student Loan: $118 (3.75% fixed!!!)
  • Insurance (homeowners, life, disability, and auto): $210
  • Out of pocket medical (co-pays): $40
  • Total monthly expenses: $5,216
  • Monthly Cash Remaining: $784

Conclusion - There is $700+ monthly income remaining to service this loan AND this excludes my wife?s part-time income and my incentive comp. We both have strong and supportive families. We are stable, careful, conservative, responsible Christians, and live within our means. We don?t own boats, motorcycles, SUVs, pool, big-screen TV, or other frivolous depreciating assets.  My car is 9 years old, my wife?s is 7 years old; both paid for and running great!   Please contact me if you have any questions, and thank you for considering this request. God's will be done.
