Purpose of loan: I am in the process of making some home upgrades and have chosen to reach out the prosper community to help finance this project. Project involves complete overhaul of Kitchen and (2) Bathrooms. I have been an active lender on Prosper for a few months and currently have 14K+ invested here. Being a lender myself, I understand the importance of receiving payments on time. All of my lending information can be verified on lendingstats.com. My financial situation: My credit history is spotless; I have NEVER BEEN LATE on any payments. I looked into options such as refinancing my existing mortgages, but they carry a hefty pre-pay penalty of (6) months interest. This penalty coupled with the additional closing cost did not make any fiscal sense at this time. The pre-pay penalty is set to expire in 11 months (initial term was 3 years). The high revolving credits balances shown are all locked in at 0% - 5.99% LOB. Most of this money is in other diversified investments, which could be liquidated if there was ever a situation in which additional capital was needed.
