** Mississippi Rate Cap at 9% Interest ** Good morning! My 16-year-old son, 13-year-old son, and I have all worn braces in recent past, or are presently wearing them! Our smiles are a lot nicer, but it has been a sizable expense, and we have quite an orthodontist bill. I would like to consolidate the expense, and also pay of a few other debts that I have. In short, I would rather pay YOU the interest than the financial companies. We live in a parsonage, and our housing expenses are paid by the church. (I have been with the same congregation for over 20 years.) I also work as a public school teacher with a desk job and am paid at the doctoral level. I have never missed a payment on any of my obligations, and I intend to keep my good name and my good credit. The Prosper loan will be less than the monthly payments that I have been making...so there will be no problem in me making the monthly Prosper payments. I also intend to use the new loan to pay off my earlier small Prosper loan. The only other debt that I have is listed as a "revolving account". It is with MBNA, and counts against my "credit card utilization." It is the remainder of a debt that I incurred when I adopted my sons as newborns. This is an expensive endeavor for a country preacher, but I would incur that expense again ten times over! It is taking a long time to pay the loan back, but I have never missed a payment. The Lord is good! If my Prosper loan is not funded, I will continue to make payments as I have been. But I would rather pay the interest to YOU than some banking conglomerate! !s I see it, Prosper is a four-fold blessing: 1) I am blessed by the loan I receive from Prosper members. 2) Those I lend it to receiving a blessing. 3) The interest I pay to my lenders blesses them. 4) The interest my borrowers pay to me is a blessing. It is really a wonderful thing all around, and I am building a little bit of a nest egg in the process. I will do my best to prove trustworthy of your confidence.
