Purpose of loan: Over 6 months ago, I borrowed 5,000 through prosper.com to refinance some high interest credit card balance. Over the past 6 months, my wife and I demonstrated a good and aggressive payment history. Now, we would like to see if we can refinance the existing loan and all our other credit card balances to a much lower interest rate. My financial situation: My wife is a field employee for a medical instrutment company, and I am in the process of starting a post-doctoral fellowship training program. Our combined income currently is over US$ 125,000.00. We are home owners and are building home equity. We both have employee sponsored retirement and saving accounts, with combined balance over US 40,000. The debt to income ratio listed through prosper.com does not include my wife's 75k+ income. So the real debt to income ratio is much less than what it is listed.
