Purpose of loan: My Prosper loan will be used to satisfy in full my three highest interest credit card accounts. This will reduce my DTI to approximately 25%. A little about me: I am telling you a little bit about myself so you may know me. I was in the Marines for 5 years, i worked on communication and navigation systems on the Prowler jet. I went to Iraq 3 times! I was married for the first 3 years until after my 2nd deployment. My then wife decided to leave and go to her home state. I filed for divorce and custody of my son and had to travel 900 miles a few times to see my son and to get him and bring him home. I also spent a lot of money on a lawyer and being in the marines i did not make a lot so i had racked up the credit cards. When all said and done after a really hard year and one final deployment later i was divorced and have full custody of my son!!! It has been a couple years since then and my son and i are doing excellent! I work on jets as an electrician now and i really enjoy that! I want to do better financially so I sat down with a friend about my finances, he opened my eyes to the interest rates and how long it would take me to pay those high interest cards off. Thanks to him i realize i need to do something about it and he invited me to join prosper, and here i am!! My financial situation: I am a good candidate for this loan because: I am prompt on my payments and diligent in my business responsibilities. This loan will ease my monthly financial load and allow me to set up a savings plan and to have an actual pay off date for this loan.
