Hi, I am a graduating senior majoring physics and math in California. I've been entitled in the Dean's honor list throughout the entire school period and now working hard to graduate this semester in May 2008 with the double major. Also, I've been working at a high-temperature superconductor laboratory (funded by the U.S. Air Force Laboratory, Ohio, and in collaboration with University of Toronto, Canada) for one and a half years. As a result, I've been presented some of my research work in physics conferences (precisely, American Physical Society meetings), and having a good carrier path to realize my dream.

Up to last semester, I was able to pay the tuition in time with my saving from the superconductor laboratory and additional part-time job. However, my grandmother passed away this winter and needed to go to Japan where she lived. The total expenses (flying and staying in Japan for one week) went high and I used some of the money I had been saved for the tuition this semester. Then, I'm temporarily short in cash.

Here is the reason I need a loan to continue on with my education. After my grandmother's unexpected death, there was enough money left to pay the tuition for my last semester in college. Please remember that I've been employed regularly in a superconductor lab fund by the U.S. Air Force Laboratory and another part-time job. Both together enable me to have enough money to live and save extras that I was paying for school expenses by last semester and that I'm going to do to pay back this loan after the unexpected death in my closest relative, since I don't need to pay for college after this May.

This is my dream to be a scientist. After I work and save money for an year or so after I graduate this May, I'd like to pursue a higher degree in graduate school. This is something I've been passionate about since I was a kid. Please help me make this dream as real as it should be and put my loan into consideration. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me so.

Thank you in advance!

Sincerely,
