My last listing said "Final Relist", but I have been persuaded to give it another shot.  I'm nothing if not persistent.  And persistence and hard work and a little help from Prosper Lenders are what have helped me to raise my once dismal HR credit rating to a B.  Please read through all my previous listings as they have all the details of how I ended up an HR and worked my way back up to B.  There are also questions from the other listings you might want to consult.  And if you don't want to have to page through all the listings, please send me a note and I will send you a 3-4 page document with all the details that have appeared in my listings as well as a breakdown of income and expenses and details on my current and past credit situation.

So that being said, what do I want the loan for and why should you entrust your money with me?  I started a second business in 2004.  It is a small translation agency.  I'm still designing the website, but please feel free to visit it in progress at
http://temp.tdftranslationscom.officelive.com/default.aspx.  I also advertise on four major translation sites http://www.proz.com, http://www.translatorscafe.com, http://www.translatorsbase.com, and http://www.transquotation.com.    My small business has grown beyond belief.  I cannot keep up with the demand. I need to hire employees and because of the way billing is done in the translation world (I have to pay my translators within 15-30 days of the work being done, but the clients don't pay up for some 30-60 days) I don't have a lot of available cash to pay employee benefits and salaries in advance.   I currently work about 80-90 hours a week (between the full-time job and the business) and desperately need two employees to take over administrative and bookkeeping tasks (invoicing, billing, and contracts) so that I can continue to grow the business.  With the help of two full-time employees I can easily double the $1200-2400 a month I'm bringing in now to $2400-4800 and maybe even get a day off once in a while!

So why loan to me?  Yes, I've had credit problems, but I have worked my butt off to fix them.  I have made every single one of my Prosper payments (18 so far) on my first loan on time.  I've been asked why I haven't paid up my first loan before taking out a second one. There are two reasons - 1) Every payment I make on time continues to improve my credit rating. and 2) Discussion on the Lender's Forum leads me to believe that most Lenders would prefer that Borrower's not pay their loans up early.  What if my second business goes belly-up?  You will still get paid.  I have a good full-time job and can make the payments regardless of my second business.  What if I get fired or laid off - unlikely for a civil servant, but if I did I have a wonderful 401K and a bunch of Savings Bonds that I could raid to pay off the Prosper Loan.  I hope you will bid on my loan and please do ask any questions you might have.  Thank you, Merci, Vielen Dank, Spasibo, Zhenkuyu, Dzhakuyu....!

Discussion For This Listing

Listing #274208. Just 15 hours left on this one. I'd love to get it funded this time. I'm a responsible borrower and lender. My business is booming and I'm desperate to hire some full-time employees to help me to continue to grow the business. I have a friend who's generously pitched in to help out for just a salary, but I'd love to get her some benefits as well. I'm currently bringing in about $1800-2400 a month from the business, but I'm getting offers from clients in the amount of $4000-6000 each month that I simply don't have the time to take on. If I can get the money to pay for salaries and benefits for two employees I will then free up my time from admin and bookkeeping duties to take on these jobs and assign them to freelance translators who've contracted with my company. The way the business works when I take on a contract from a client I have to find the translators to work it. They expect to be paid within 15-30 days of completion of the translation work, but the clients do not pay until 30-60 days after receiving the translations (as per the individual contract). So you can see that although I have the ability to take in quite a bit of money each month, I'm constantly paying money out in advance. I've just now started to be able to put money aside and not simply sink it back into the business, but at this rate it will be months before I have enough money to hire even one full-time employee. I'm already exhausted and would love to have a day off and more importantly, I'd love to stop turning down jobs that I would be able to take on if I had some help! I hope you'll consider bidding. Thanks!
