I am requesting this loan to free my family from credit card debt. At the end of my college career, about three years ago, I ran out of student loan money. I was married with two kids and the last two months of college I lived off of my credit cards. For the next 6 months, I had to dip in to them some more from time to time until my career was established. Now, fast forward three years, and I have a good, steady income and am still trying to pay off the debt. Had I gotten a prosper loan at that time I would not be requesting one now three years later. My goal is to free myself from this debt. My current minimum payment on the credit cards is more than the monthly payment from the prosper loan, however, the ammoritization of the credit cards is way longer than the three years it takes to pay off a prosper loan. Speaking with a debt advisor, he suggested debt consolidation through a HELOC, however, with the current housing market I do not have enough equity to do so. With your help I will see this debt gone in three years.
