HR Explained: I can only report my weekend telemarketing job because I get paid in cash for my summer job. This makes my DTI look huge, but really it isn't that bad at all. In fact, I should be debt-free after this summer. I just need to get to that point. About 1,000 of my reported debt is from a student loan in my name that my parents took out (and are going to pay off when I graduate - I guess it was almost no interest so they figured they would take it off as they could invest it or even put it in a savings acct and MAKE money off of it while easing their burden and establishing a credit history for me). I did mess up my freshman year and use some credit cards unwisely. I have stopped using them though and cut them all up a couple years ago. I'm just working to pay them off right now.

Purpose of loan:

This loan will be used to help me get through the student teaching experience without missing bills, pawning everything I own, being stressed to the breaking point, etc. From now until May I am working full time as a student teacher... The problem? I don't get paid a dime (in fact my parents are paying tuition for this). I just need to be able to get by until I can work again in May. I have no time to be able to have a job other than a small weekend job.

My financial situation:
I am a good candidate for this loan because as soon as May comes around I will be making more money, and starting next August I will be employed in my profession as a teacher.

Monthly net income: $500 until May, $1600 from May-August, $2500 when I start teaching in May.

Monthly expenses:
My parents pay for my rent and tuition. I don't want to further burden them and I want to take responsibility and pay for my own debt, utilities, food, etc. I would rather go farther into debt than further burden them. They are well off and would give anything to help me, but I have never asked for anything and I know they are stretched increasingly thin. I have about $200 in min. CC payments, my first Prosper loan, and the payment for this one (assuming I get the highest interest rate possible). I also pay about $150 in utilities and cable, etc. The rest will go towards food and gas and I have to drive quite a ways to get to my student teaching so there isn't a whole lot left. I'm skipping lunch everyday and eating Ramen for dinner. This loan would allow me to be a bit healthier and less stressed and let me focus on learning to be an excellent teacher.
